Dénia opens registration for the Official Leisure Time Monitor Course and promotes youth employability

The Dénia Youth Council opens next July 20th the registration period for a new edition of the Official Leisure Activities Monitor Course (MAT), a Development face-to-face course approved by the Valencian Youth Institute (IVAJ) that seeks to facilitate the employment of young people in Dénia in the sector of leisure and education.The course will take place at the Casal Jove in Dénia. September 5 to December 19, 2026.

Objective: to boost youth employability

The MAT training program is accredited by the IVAJ (Valencian Youth Institute) and provides the official qualification required to work in camps, summer schools, extracurricular activities, and other leisure-time recreation and education programs. The Councilor for Youth, Valen AlcalaHe explained that: "The objective of this initiative is to offer quality training opportunities that facilitate the employment of young people, especially in a sector with a high demand for professionals during the holiday period and educational activities."

Course format and schedule

The course is aimed at young people from 16 years in the Making It will be taught in person at the Casal Jove in Dénia. The training has been designed as an intensive weekend format to make it easier to combine with studies or other activities.

The classes will take place from September 5 to December 19, 2026with sessions every Saturdays in time 09 to 00 pm.
