January 11 from 2022 - 13: 34

The Provincial Court of Alicante has sentenced a man to seven months in prison for the crime of resistance to authority for confronting two Local Police of Dénia and trying to bite the ear of one of them.

The events occurred in June 2020, in the Arxiduc Carles de Dénia square. The 30-year-old perpetrator was to be identified for participating in a fight that occurred that afternoon. The latter refused and threatened the agents, telling them: "I know who you are, I'm going to take you, I'm going to blow you up, when I see you I'm going to open your head, I'm not afraid of anything," according to the sentence that has been provided by the Provincial Court. After this, he pounced on an agent trying to bite his ear, for which he had to be reduced by the others while the attacker threw punches and kicks in the air.

As a consequence, the two agents were injured with minor injuries, which has motivated the Court to condemn the aggressor and to reaffirm itself now after the appeal that the defense presented at the time.
