Red Cross carries out selection tests for lifeguards for beaches this Saturday in Dénia

The tests and the final selection of candidates to occupy the different vacancies related to the personnel of surveillance and first aid of the Spanish Red Cross in the province of Alicante are taking place these days. The purpose of this process is that the people selected are the most prepared to protect the safety of bathers in those locations where Red Cross is present during the summer. This year a total of 1.573 candidatures have been registered to cover the positions offered by the Red Cross in the province of Alicante.

For the positions of Aquatic Lifeguard and Vessel Lifeguard (skipper) requires theoretical and physical tests that will take place tomorrow and last. The candidates, a total of 657 people who opt for the positions, will be able to carry out the tests indistinctly in two scenarios.

This Saturday, May 11, from 8:30 a.m., the beach of the Punta del Raset de Dénia will host the physical tests, consisting of a circuit of 50 meters race- 400 meters swim- 50 meters race.

For the positions of boat lifeguards (or skipper) will also be carried out skill tests in the handling of the next 25 boats in May at Punta Raset beach in Denia and a total of 206 candidates have been registered.
