The month of December will start in Dénia in the most supportive way possible thanks to the Red Cross. This Saturday, from the 10: 00 in the morning, will be installed in Dénia 17 petitions tables that will claim the help of the residents of the city.
On this occasion, the benefits collected in this solidarity event will be allocated to children in difficult situations. Children are the most affected in crisis contexts (such as the one that has been going on for the last few years), a situation that makes them more vulnerable to their personal and educational development. Many of them are in a complicated family environment, lack adequate food and school supplies.
In Dénia, the Red Cross takes care of children in this situation through different social projects with activities such as school reinforcement, leisure and free time as well as deliveries of material goods (such as books, school supplies, clothing) and financial support for the financing of food and dining scholarships, among other aids.
Collaborating organizations
The associations and public organizations that will participate this day are Amunt, Rotary Club, Balearia Foundation, Local Board Fallera, Moors and Christians, Retiree Home, MLS Real Estate, IES 3, IES Chabas, Ludai, Matria, Gent of Dénia, Classical Culture, Euroclub, Castilla la Mancha, Hermitage San Juan, Falla Centro and the city of Denia.
Performances on the stage of the Roundabout
As every year, the Red Cross will install a stage in the Quatre Cantons in which performances of various local collectives will take place. Thus, from 10: 00 to 11: 30 hours students from the Tenor Cortis Conservatory of Dénia will perform. At the 11: 30 it will be the turn of the Fina Porta Dance School, which will perform until the 12: 30 hours. Then it will be time for 3 Music Teers, which from 12: 30 to 14: 00 hours will play music from the 60, 70 and 80.
Next to the stage there will be a table with activities and games, face-painting workshops, balloon twisting for children, as well as people who will be responsible for their care at a games table and in castle inflatable. In addition, from 11:00 a.m. to 13:00 p.m. there will be the presence of the GML LEGION 501 STARS WARS that will liven up the event.
