As every year, this event will be organized by the Consortium for Economic Recovery and Activity (CREAMA), the European Center for Business and Innovation (CEEI) of Elche, and with the collaboration of business associations in the region he CEDMA and JOVEMPA as well as UGT. This edition of Focus Pyme and Entrepreneurship will take place on October 1.
The main objectives of this macro business meeting are to generate synergies between the participants, favoring networking and promoting coordination between the entities that provide support to SMEs and entrepreneurs. In this edition, the theme chosen is Promoting the local commerce in the new normality.
Local commerce, which before the coronavirus crisis was already experiencing a moment of restructuring, has also been impacted by this new situation. The limitation of movement and its proximity, the increase in teleworking and the need to consume fresh products during the pandemic - closing alternatives such as bars or restaurants - are some of the factors that have boosted neighborhood stores. The idea is to value the importance of local commerce, especially that which has been providing service in full confinement.
Will the coronavirus change the way we consume something? Will we look more local in the long term? It is still too early to tell. If, as everything points out, we move to a model in which we are going to spend more time at home and with a greater introduction of teleworking, it seems that this growth in local commerce is going to continue over time. However, they will have to face challenges such as the transportation of purchases to homes jointly between all positions, as well as the digital transformation that allows them to compete with electronic commerce.
The event will be held online, through ZOOM. Assistance is free upon registration. If you want to attend both sessions, you must register for each of them.
