Creama celebrates its 20 years 5.300 over jobs created

November 18 from 2014 - 16: 04

On November 8, 1994, the Dénia City Council was the scene of the signing of an agreement between the Dénia, Pego and Benissa city councils and the Alicante Provincial Council, which led to the start-up of the Consortium for the Economic Recovery of the Marina Alta (CREAM).

Twenty years later, and after having overcome a major crisis a few months ago that threatened the continuity of the organization, Creama has taken stock of its history and the achievements made during this time.

20 Anniversary of CREAMA

The Mayor of Dénia, Ana Kringe, along with the mayors of Pego and Benissa, Enrique Moll and Juan Bautista Roselló, and the deputy of Local Development and Development and president of Creama, Alejandro Morant, reordered the trajectory of the consortium before other mayors and councilors of the municipalities that make up CREAMA.

In addition to highlighting the regional vision as the main hallmark of the consortium and highlighting the need for the consortium at this time, the speakers spoke about the plural nature of the organization since its inception.

Reviewing the figures that CREAMA has generated in these twenty years of existence, the deputy Alejandro Morant has highlighted the creation of 3.976 companies that have favored the creation of 5.393 direct jobs. During all this time, 830 carried out business dynamization activities and interviewed more than 52.000 people who were looking for work in any of the 4.986 job offers that have been managed through the consortium.

In the training section 95.513 teaching hours have been taught to 8.901 students thanks to the 46.000.000 euros of funds from the European Union, the Servef, the Diputación de Alicante and the consortium municipalities.

To celebrate the 20 years of history of CREAMA, the next 15 of January of 2015 will be held an institutional act in the Social Center of Dénia.
