Creama celebrates the Conference on the European Green Deal

The Mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, participated this morning in the opening ceremony of the conference European Green Deal as a reference for a sustainable economy in the Marina Ata, organized by Creama at the CdT Marina Alta from Denia. The General Director of Relations with the European Union of the Generalitat, Daría Terrádez, and the president of Creama and provincial deputy for Promotion and Local Development, Productive Sectors and Employment, Sebastián Cañadas, also took part.

Grimalt has pointed out that "the European Green Deal is the response to the evidence that the climate emergency as an indisputable fact requires, in an urgent way, the involvement of all".

He stressed that "since Dénia is a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, work has been done to value the native products of the region with its own brand, the Bancalet project", an initiative that is not only an incentive to the local economy, " but a clear contribution to achieving a sustainable economic and productive model with minimal environmental costs».

Next, the General Director of Relations with the European Union of the Valencian Government, Daría Terrádez, gave the central presentation of the day, speaking of the European Green Pact in the Valencian Community and its relationship with local development.

After a coffee break, a round table on green occupation was held, moderated by Mª Jesús García Giner, from the Creama Labor Insertion area, and in which Delia Álvarez Alonso, from the UGT Environment area, participated. PVUGT; Cristina Morera, Human Resources technician of Baleària; a representative of the Chair of Economy for the Common Good-GVA-UV and José Miguel Giner Pérez, researcher of the Blue Economy of the University of Alicante.

Finally, at 13:00, there will be another round table on experiences and good practices, moderated by Marta Yáñez, regional development agent for Crema. Speakers will be David Torres García, General Director of Rural Development of the Generalitat; Miguel Fernández Mejuto, head of Water Technologies and the Hydrological Cycle of the Diputación de Alicante; Joanmi Rafet, chief of staff of the Mayor's Office of Dénia and coordinator of the 2030 Agenda of the Dénia City Council, and Rosario Donderis, manager of Creama.

The president of Creama and provincial deputy, Sebastián Cañadas, will close the day at 14:00 p.m.
