The 21 Local Agenda of Dénia organizes for the sixth consecutive year the celebration of the International Mountain Day, which for this year has two ambassadors of exception the football player Xavi Hernández, FC. Barcelona and the music teacher, choir teacher Constantí Sotelo. Both star in the promotional videos of the 2014 International Mountain Day and participate in the programmed activities.
In the case of Constantí Sotelo, December 6 will participate in a talk that will take place in the Social Center of Dénia, after the conference of the César Pérez de Tudela alpine explorer, and will offer a talk about music and mountains to the students of the Historians Chabàs institutes and number 3.
The December 9 day. Xavi Hernández, for his part, has donated several t-shirts signed by him that are part of the gifts that winners of an international Instagram contest organized for the first time in the framework of the International Mountain Day.
Councilman 21 Agenda, Vicente Chelet, has highlighted as one of the novelties of this year the announcement of this Instagram contest, which FAO will disseminate worldwide. You can participate in two categories: with images of family farming, or uploading personal photographs on a mountaintop or mountain landscape anywhere in the world.
The photograph must show at least one person holding the International Mountain Day flag that can be downloaded from their website. Likewise, the images should contain the hashtag #welovemountains in its description as well as information on where they have been taken. The deadline for sending photographs for the contest is from 1 to 15 in December of 2014.
Another activity is the first edition of the Mountainlover Race that takes place in Dénia on December 14, in an urban circuit of 8.848 meters. The full collection of the inscriptions will go to the Solidarity Round Table.
The program of activities for Dénia, which will take place during the month of December, is completed with photographic and painting exhibitions, films, conferences and an open-door activity organized by the Radio Club Montgó.
The traditional ascent to the Montgó creueta will take place on Sunday, December 7, and the institutional act will be held on December 11 at Dénia Town Hall. A round table on forest fires and restoration of burned areas is also scheduled, organized in collaboration with the General Directorate for the Natural Environment, in which the fire that recently devastated part of the Montgó Natural Park and the possibilities of regeneration of the land. It will be on December 12, at 20:XNUMX p.m., in the Municipal House of Culture.
