In a statement from the Generalitat itself, Prados explained that "These actions have been declared emergency by the Ministry of Infrastructure, Territory and Environment to act as quickly as possible and avoid erosion that risked increasing, by the possible autumn rains that characterize the Mediterranean climate".
Pradas noted that "it has been established that these works are carried out in the areas of greatest risk of degradation and areas most used by the population and visitors, such as the recreational area of La Plana and the paths that go to cliffs and viewpoints of the north and south slopes Cape, as well as roads and highways for safety".
These first actions have focused on the felling of trees and burned bushes to which they will be given an adequate treatment, such as deforestation.
