16 2019 April - 01: 01

Sharing, empathizing and enjoying a solidary and recreational day is the reason why the Condemned to Curb Association and the IES Maria Ibars have organized the first Volta a Peu per la Inclusió, held on Monday, 15 in April and in which more than 500 people participated among students of the institute, the school Raquel Payá and members of Condemned.

From the year 2008 Condemados carries out a series of activities aimed at the group of functional diversity in the IES Maria Ibars facilities, in which a large number of students from the center participate as volunteers. For this reason the possibility of organizing this Volta a Peu arose.

In addition, the collaboration of both volunteer students has provided a very suitable environment for physical activity and sports outside school hours. For many of those who participate in these activities, the afternoons at the IES Maria Ibars have become a space to share, enjoy and feel welcomed in a group.

To participate in the Volta, one euro has been contributed, leaving open the possibility of collaborating with more. The money raised will go towards the purchase of material for the center since it will be used, both by the students who go to class in the mornings, and by all the users of Condenados al Curzon, who carry out activities in the afternoons.

La Volta had to be carried out in four groups due to the high number of participants and was organized by 4º ESO students (center mediators) and volunteers of the Association.

La 1ª Volta a Peu per la Inclusió It has been possible thanks to the participation, delivery and enthusiasm of the entire Raquel Payá School, the IES Maria Ibars and its Ampa, and all the students who have lived, played, shared and, above all, enjoy with the diversity collective. functional.

The participation of the Raquel Payá School has been key to the realization of the volta since it has made it possible for a reality to become visible: the enthusiasm, motivation and affection with which all its members carry out their teaching work.

For years, the Association holds awareness days ("Som iguals, som diferents") to highlight the needs of people with functional diversity, with the aim of showing a positive vision of the collective. This year, and on the occasion of the Volta a Peu, these days have been addressed to all the students of the center. In addition, the Hospitality students of the IES Maria Ibars share practices with Raquel Payá students who are in the Basic Qualification Training Program, adapted professional training: Restaurant and Bar Operations. These practices are carried out in the facilities of the CDT of Dénia
