Condemned to the Curb returns with its project 'Som Equals, Som Differences' to sensitize schoolchildren to the realities of the world

22 October 2018 - 01: 16

With the start of the new academic year 2018 / 2019, the Condemned to Curb Association retakes its inclusion project, Som equal, som diferents, With which it intends, each year, to bring students from other educational centers in Dénia, in the Pou de la Muntanya School and centers in the region, to their daily reality through activities.

As an extracurricular activity, this initiative intends that students from different schools share experiences with people with different types of disabilities in order to sensitize and inform about the realities of the world of functional diversity.

Jorge, Carlos, Javi, Sergio, Diana, Mar and Pascual, who suffer from some kind of disability, are in charge of carrying out the sessions based mainly on four blocks: The adapted sport, the awareness talks and group dynamics, the diffusion of the documentaries published by the Association and the presentation of the book The colors of Pasqual, published by the Association of Condemned to the Curb thanks to the collaboration of the Rotary Club of Dénia.

Undoubtedly, this project is, for many students, a new experience that allows them to discover many aspects, which either due to lack of information or because they never contacted the collective, they did not know completely.

This project, which has had the collaboration of the City of Dénia and the Provincial Council of Alicante, is also carried out, punctually, in other more distant centers that request the participation of the group. In fact, over the past year, 2017 / 2018, made a total of 24 activities.
