Condemned to the Bordillo about the reality of the collective to schools and associations

19 December 2017 - 09: 39

Objectives such as fostering empathy or offering a positive vision of the world of disability are some of the objectives of the Talks and Conferences of Awareness that the association Condemned to Curb has offered the school community and various groups between September and December of the 2017.

Centers like the Pou de la Muntanya, the IES Historiados Chabàs or the IES Maria Ibars have been able to learn in these days what is the reality of the collective and that its two great difficulties are, on the one hand, the architectural barriers, and on the other, the value that society assigns to disability. The users and responsible of the association, have been responsible for carrying out these activities aimed at different school levels.

In addition to these two essential objectives, the talks focused on other fundamental contents such as:

- Importance of empathy as the ultimate expression of life, since "when we help others so they can live more fully we feel more alive, we become more human and connect with the deepest realities of existence."
- Promote a better perception and understanding of the situation in which people with disabilities are.
- Know and start in adapted sports.
- Offer a positive and growth vision regarding the world of disability.
- Promote an active commitment by the “non-disabled” population, especially among young people.
- Glimpse that the difference is not between us by chance, but to help us wake up and discover who we really are.

To end the year there will be a talk on 19 day at the Pou de la Muntanya School, and awareness days with solidary lunch on 20 day at the IES Maria Ibars.
