EVENT CANCELED DUE TO RAIN
Compromís per Dénia will once again commemorate the 9 de Octubre with its traditional political act in the Jaume I squareThe event will take place at 12:30 on Thursday 9th, once the institutional event organized by the City of DéniaThis year will feature the parliaments of Gerard Fullana, deputy in the Valencian Parliament, and Safir Malonda, member of the local collective.
Floral offering and Muixeranga
One more year, the wreath to the statue of Jaume i, accompanied by the muixeranga, as a symbol of respect and reaffirmation of the Valencian values.
According to the local secretary, Sergi Alemany, "this event is a consolidated event and a tradition that has been carried out over the years in parallel to the institutional event and aims to claim the Valencianism as a political, cultural, and social movement. We meet every October 9th to remember where we come from and to clarify where we want to go." Alemany adds that "it's a day of celebration, but above all of claim political with the Valencian people, their language, crop and rights."
He will reclaim his Valencian identity, says the local leader... yes, with the flag of another region, the Catalan one. A curious way of being proud of our land, flying under someone else's flag. With these "Valencianists," why do we need colonizing Catalanists? They're already plundering us and the rest of the Spanish people thanks to the government, so why should we have to put up with these Catalan collaborators in our town, their nonsense and their traitorous speeches, which are aimed at extirpating our Valencian identity?

I don't see the need for them to repeat the same old stories every year. Stop the annoying little parties trying to justify themselves with something the Valencian region doesn't need: STAYING BACK! That's only if they consider the Catalan separatists HAVE SWALLOWED THEM UP.
For me, the entire Valencian region has always been important, respectable and respected for its values, which it treasures and shares with the rest of Spain.
