The annual balances of the political groups of the City of Dénia have continued this week with the opinions of Compromís per Dénia. Your councilors Rafa Carrió, Josep Crespo and Marian Tamarit, shared this Thursday with the local media the summary of the political year in Dénia. Eva Round he excused his presence for work reasons.
The spokesman of the group and Deputy Mayor of Dénia, Rafa Carrió, stated that "2017 has been a positive year in terms of compliance with the points of the Governance Agreement, since we have managed to make the most of the commitments and implement the rest". So much so that he did not hesitate to assume that 2018 will fulfill the 100% of the agreement.
Satisfaction by the Culture Council
With regard to its areas, Carrió highlighted the implementation of the Consell de Cultura and the realization of some of the proposals that emanate from this participatory body, as well as the numerous activities programmed from the UA Headquarters; the work of the Palau Vell staircase in the castle; or the opening of the new Xara Reading Agency, among others.
The mayor has ensured that, during 2018, various projects will be a reality, such as the house on Calle San José or the Antigua Lonja; the results of the technical studies for the possible pedestrianization of the Campos street; or the beginning of some outstanding educational infrastructures, present in the new Edificant plan.
New projects in the Environment
The Councilor for the Environment, Josep Crespo, has been satisfied with the work that his department is doing in terms of energy saving and waste management. In this sense, he announced the increase of more containers in the Les Rotes and Montgó, new green collection points and the introduction of what is known as the 5th organic waste collection container.
In another line, he underlined the strengthening of the Scientific Station of the Montgó and the Casa del Irida; and the enhancement of fishing and traditional agriculture, with initiatives such as Pesca Turisme, Arrels Marineres, or the various educational, practical and informative activities around organic farming. In this sense, he also announced the programming of courses with SERVEF accreditation, and the willingness to introduce a training cycle in agricultural production.
Year of improvements in sports facilities
For the councilor of sports, Marian Tamarit, 2017 has been a year highlighted by the improvements in sports facilities, giving as examples the changing rooms, roofs and windows of the pavilions; as well as "the continuation of the normative and legal stability of the monitors of the Municipal Sports Schools".
For 2018, the objectives are "Continue to improve sports facilities for the proper development of sports activity, such as changing the lawn of the Rodat or the athletic track of the Sports Center". In addition, he added that "We will recover the Sports Gala, and scholarship to 4 outstanding athletes of the municipality with 2.500 euros".
Regarding the delegation of Linguistic Normalization, Tamarit stressed that he expects "the physical place of attention to the public returns to the City Hall", as well as stressed that "This year I will ensure that the Valencian has the prominence he deserves, especially in public administration".
