The new year has begun with a long-awaited surprise for the group of disabled people in the region of La Marina Alta. On Monday, January 9, and without prior notice, the works of the long-awaited Day Center began next to the La Xara Occupational Center.
To the surprise of the users of the center and the professional team, the company awarded the contract started the works. In spite of the inconveniences that this beginning produced without previous warning, from the center they express their satisfaction to see finally executed one of the most demanded projects by the disabled group.
The Councilor for Social Welfare of the City of Dénia, Cristina MoreraI was not aware of the beginning of the works either. His last news was two weeks ago, when he met in Valencia with the Director General, who announced that the work would begin shortly.
The works are carried out by the company CRIMSA. The initial budget of the Consellería was 450.000 €, and finally they were tendered for a total of 370.000 €.
