Work begins on the restoration of the bell tower of the Church of the Assumption

19 June 2017 - 13: 35

The bell tower of the Church of the Assumption of Dénia is undergoing a major improvement. Water seepage problems were affecting the chapel of Sant Roc, and since this Monday the operators are already working on its rehabilitation.

The reform has begun by chopping the stone from the side wall, which will then be covered with lime and that will have to paint from the top of the belfry hanging with ropes, since the specialized machinery is too heavy to access the work area.

The work is expected to last for a week, in which the four walls of the bell tower will be rehabilitated and the pieces that are at risk of falling to the square will be removed.

Sorry to stick your finger in the wound, but your article is missing a data of utmost importance. It does not indicate where the money goes for this necessary reform and that unconsciously feeds the controversy and invites me to be a bit ironic. Please, could you mark the correct answer ?:

    A) The Catholic Church
    B) The City of Denia
    C) The Generalitat
