The ninth edition of the consolidated Mediterranean Equestrian Tour (MET) starts again at the facilities of the Equestrian Center Olive nova. It is held between January 14 and April 19, with the same format as the previous edition: divided into four international circuits where € 1.585.200 in prizes will be distributed.

245 riders from 36 countries participate in the first part of the Spring MET I, with a high participation of approximately 850 horses each week. The facilities of the Oliva Nova Equestrian Center today open their doors to the ninth edition of the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour, which will receive numerous riders from all over the world.

The fabulous MET facilities and the consolidation of this renowned international circuit make every year more riders choose these dates to start their season. The Spring MET 2020 will be held between January 14 - February 2 (MET I), February 11 - March 1 (MET II), March 10 - 29 (MET III) and April 7 - 19 (MET IV).

The most important riders in the world in Oliva Nova

In this edition you can see many of the main riders of the national and international scene, many of them in the top 100, such as Scott Brash, Edwina Tops Alexander, the Philippaerts brothers, Lorenzo de Luca or the Brazilian Pedro Veniss, with some 850 horses for each week of the Spring MET. The total of prizes that will be distributed throughout the Spring MET 2020 amounts to € 1.585.200 that will be distributed in the 4 parts of the circuit.

For lovers of equestrian sport, MET is an incomparable setting for both horses and riders and their families. The facilities not only offer a very complete sports calendar, but also have all the necessary amenities to enjoy a pleasant stay. The beach, the weather, the accommodation and the restoration are some of the details that make MET the favorite place to start the year. Its privileged location and easy access are also a reason to choose the MET compared to the rest of the circuits that are held during these same dates. All this results in a strong economic impact for the region, in the tourism, hospitality, lodging, gastronomy, vehicle rental or insurance sectors.

Founded in 2012 and with the aim of offering unique competition opportunities for both horses and riders around the world, this exclusive equestrian center has facilities consisting of 9 competition tracks by Klaus Dammann, capacity to receive more than 1.000 horses , adapted parking for trucks with light and water connections, several restaurants, and gastronomic offers both in the competition area and in the stables. In addition to a large and exclusive commercial area, not forgetting the scarce 500 meters that separate the center of the beach.

The sports program accommodates both young and expert horses, offering 1 *, 2 * and 3 * competitions, as well as those corresponding to CSI YH (young horses). Each of the 4 parts of the MET will have a star day on Sundays, with the celebration of the Grand Prix. MET I, will hold 3 grand prizes on Sundays January 19 and 26 and February 2. In the same way that it will have 9 scoring tests for the Longines ranking, as well as those corresponding to horses of 5, 6 and 7 years.
