Autumn MET 2019 begins in Oliva Nova, the appointment of the great international riders

It starts at the Equestrian Center Olive nova The Autumn Mediterranean Equestrian Tour, a tour of international competitions already consolidated in the calendar of the best riders in the international ranking. The circuit begins this Tuesday October 1 and will last until November 17, being six weeks of competition, one more than the last edition.

The sports program of the circuit is divided into MET I (the first three weeks of competition), and the MET II (from October 29 to November 17). Both METs consist of international tests of young horses and international tests 1 *, 2 * and 3 *.

In this edition they will participate 237 riders of 35 different nationalities. Among them we can find riders like the Englishman Ben Maher, currently fifth in the Longines Ranking, the Frenchman Julien Epaillard, also in the top 25 of the ranking, the young English rider Emily Moffit, the Irishman Harry Allen, medalist in several European championships, the German David Will, who comes from winning the GP of the CSI2 * of Saint Tropez , as well as the Swiss rider Pius Schwizer, who won a bronze medal at the Beijing Olympics in 2008.
As for Spanish riders, they have on this first tour with 28 riders, highlighting Luis Plaza and Diana Marsá. Approximately 700 horses will pass through the facilities of the Oliva Nova Equestrian Center on this first tour.

During the six weeks of competition, more than 850.000 euros will be distributed in prizes. The most important MET I event will be held on 20 Sunday in October: the 1.50m Grand Prix of the CSI3 *, in which 50.000 euros will be distributed in prizes.

The Oliva Nova Equestrian Center is located in a privileged place: the MET is held on the edge of the Mediterranean, with the wonderful light of the Costa Blanca. A location that enriches this event even more, and that adds value to the participants, their companions and visitors.
The Oliva Nova Equestrian Center has facilities consisting of 9 tracks of the highest quality. They have the capacity to receive more than 1000 horses, adapted parking for trucks with light and water connections, restaurants, exclusive commercial area, and the beach just 500 meters away. The MET circuit generates an economic impact for the 2'5 million euros zone.
