ACADE is born: Dénia merchants create a new association after the disagreements arose with the management of the ACE

05 December 2018 - 13: 29

The Dénia trade aspires to be a benchmark in the region of the Marina Alta. In recent months there have been many associative movements among them: they relaunched the ACE (Association of Merchants and Entrepreneurs); They created a Managing Board to link businesses in all the neighborhoods, and even unilaterally broke relations with the City Council due to discrepancies in the execution of the works in the city center and the future pedestrianization of Marqués de Campo.

But suddenly, everything was stopped. Nothing was known about the association or the merchants. Without campaigns, movements of public attraction or any visibility. So part of those merchants decided to partner on their own and get going, creating the new Association of Autonomous Merchants of Dénia (ACADE).

Only two weeks after its creation, the new ACADE has already obtained 40 associates, has resumed talks with the City Council and has launched a campaign of Christmas.

This Wednesday they have presented in society headed by its president, Paula Suárez. ACADE was born with the philosophy of stimulating and supporting local merchants and commercial activity in the city. Likewise, they intend to achieve the maximum possible representation of the Dianense trade in the work tables of the City Council, have a voice and vote in the decisions that may affect them.

The ACADE is born as a democratic organization with work commissions that will decide through a voting system of its associates. And all with the aim of making Dénia a Commercial City.

For this they have launched a Facebook page, from which it offers its members services such as professional photography of products, graphic design, support and campaign management. In fact, they already have the first campaign underway. Starting with the 15 in December, and until the 5 in January, they will draw more than 2.500 euros in gift vouchers among those who buy in the stores that participate in the Christmas campaign.

With regard to relations with the ACE, from the executive of the new association they affirm that "The idea is to coexist", although they abandoned that project because "100% not finished". The vice-president of ACADE, Jaime Mezquida, has indicated that "ACE is asleep" and they need to get going to reactivate their businesses.

Along with Suárez and Mezquida, the executive Carmen López completes as secretary; Isabel Rico, as treasurer; and Tona Juárez, Samantha Agulles and Juan José Sánchez.
