According to the orange formation, the Provincial Council of Alicante with previous government teams directed social aid to populations with less than 30.000 inhabitants and Dénia rarely received any of these.
The spokesperson for the municipal group of Citizens in the City of Denia, Susana Mut has indicated that "As far as Citizens are concerned, no city council is left out of this aid. It does not matter the political color that governs it. We all have the same rights in this terrible situation caused by the coronavirus".
In the credit modification approved in the plenary session of the Provincial Council on May 6, Dénia will receive a final benefit of € 150.079,00, Jesús Pobre and La Xara will both increase from € 15.488,00 to € 20.651,00.
Councilor for the training Fani Schwamb has stressed that "The need for Citizens to be in public institutions is clearly seen in these grants. They are not only for municipalities that are of the same political color as occurred in the previous legislature. Hence the importance of Citizens, we always work for the entire citizenship, not only for those of our color ".
