China surrenders to the gastronomy of Dénia represented by Bruno Ruiz

The chef of the Atticook Dénia restaurant, Bruno Ruiz, was in charge of representing the city in the most important Gastronomic Forum on the Asian continent, which was held last weekend in the Chinese city of Macao and which has brought together 21 of the 26 creative cities of UNESCO Gastronomy. 

The chef dianense showcooking was one of the most praised by the attendees. Bruno Ruiz elaborated, with the collaboration of his assistant Claudia Sancho, a carpaccio of cod and artichokes, a dish that combined product of proximity, tradition, technique and a lot of creativity. Its preparation was carried out in a stand installed in one of the most frequented promenades of Macaco and was followed with great interest by dozens of people. In addition, all the steps for its preparation were broadcast live on several television channels. The chef of Atticook Dénia was very congratulated by those who tasted the dish.

For her part, the delegated councilor of Ciudad Creativa, Pepa Font, he met with Denise Bax, responsible for cultural development policies of UNESCO, an area in which the Creative Cities network is integrated. The Dianense representation, which was completed with Enric Gil, from the Office of Innovation and Creativity, followed the debates of the Forum, in which food experts and great chefs participated. 

Dénia also participated in the working sessions with the Erasmus project "Youth4Food" that is being developed together with the cities of Bergen (Norway), Östersund (Sweden), Parma (Italy) and Gaziantep (Turkey). In an ideas workshop, the cities discussed the possibility of undertaking a joint initiative to promote the recycling of food, avoid waste and encourage responsible use.
