Following the reception of the works of the new Day Center for people with functional diversity in La Xara, the Vice Presidency and Conselleria de Equality and Inclusive Policies has tendered the integral management of the day center and the occupational center of La Xara for an amount total of 3.859.515 euros.
The duration of the contract, as set out in the DOGV, will be two years maximum and the deadline for submitting applications for participation will be the 10 of October of 2017 at 15.00 hours.
The new facilities occupy an area of 400 square meters with capacity for 40 people, and it is located next to the occupational center that counts 56 squares also for people with intellectual diversity. The conselleria allocated a total of 548.784 euros to works that are already a reality.
The general director of Functional Diversity, Antonio Raya, explained that with the construction of the day center "the region of La Marina Alta of a resource that it did not have and can meet the existing demand up to now". The director general pointed out that there has also been an increase in the number of places financed for people with functional diversity in the region, going from the 106 squares in 2015 to 141 with which it currently has resources of different types.
