CEDMA supports the motion of the local Dianense team in which it intends to create an autonomous port

The Business Circle of the Marina Alta (CEDMA) supports the creation of the organism Dénia Port, proposal that will take this Thursday afternoon to full the Dianense government team with the purpose that all political groups approve request the Valencian Courts to transfer the management of the port of Dénia to a decentralized body dependent on the Generalitat.

In this way, the organism that will be called Dénia Port, will be formed by representatives of the City of Dénia and civil society and manage their own budgets.

The purpose of the government team is to add to the current drafting of the Law of Measures an amendment that allows to create with the rank of Law Dénia Port as a port authority under the administrative formula of an autonomous body dependent on the Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure.

CEDMA supports this measure because of the advantages it will bring to the municipality. As indicated by the business circle, "The first and main advantage is the economic one, since it will be possible to directly control what the benefits of the port area are invested, which currently amount to around € 3.000.000 per year, of which the 40% should revert to Dénia, however, the Generalitat allocates to the maintenance and investments of other ports, as well as other expenses of the regional general budget. "

From the Cercle Empresarial de la Marina Alta they also state that through direct management "participation in projects and decisions is guaranteed, both about the development of the port and investments". Faced with this fact, CEDMA will request the City of Dénia and the Generalitat Valenciana to participate and intervene in the drafting of the statutes and other regulatory and regulatory rules of the autonomous body, so that, prior to its approval by the Council, it is done arrive the contributions of the business that guarantee the best of the developments and possible operation in favor of the general interest.
