November 02 from 2018 - 10: 22

Five months have passed since the beginning of the remodeling works in the town square of Jesús Pobre in June. Five months that have transformed the streets of the EATIM into a new and reinvented space, and that has finally been opened to the neighbors.

The works, made thanks to a grant from the Provincial Council of Alicante, have consisted of the complete remodeling of the square and adjacent areas; the complete demolition of road and sidewalks, replacement of pipes, execution of rainwater with connection to Luna Street, scuppers, burying of cable and telephony reconduction, pre-installation of fiber services, execution of new lighting, elimination of parking, elimination of barriers architectonic, passing to a single platform, woodland extension, flowerpots, irrigation, urban furniture and bollards closing system.

The square of the town and adjacent areas has been executed by cobblestone in two sizes, as well as a palette of colors for its differentiation in sidewalks and road, and serving a darker color in roadway for road traffic. Meanwhile, on Luna Street, printed concrete has been used, creating sidewalks of 1,5 meters wide, with placement of parking deterrent system, approving the Eatim de Jesús Pobre a unique model of bollards with corten steel finish, which will allow a connection important road between the plaza and the great riurau of Jesús Pobre.

Precisely Luna Street is the only road of remodeling that has not been opened to the public, since it requires a surface treatment of printed concrete, and that must be consolidated (dried) during the next 21 days.

In addition, as an improvement for 2019, the necessary foundation for the installation of multifunctional pillars of shade candles, so necessary in summer time, has been carried out.

This Friday all the closed roads have been opened to the public and the normal circulation of vehicles has been restored throughout the urban area, restoring the Pinaret street in a single direction of circulation, and again permitting parking on a lane.

It has also proceeded to the installation of new signage that will regulate the entire area, which remains as 30 zone, with prohibition of passage of heavy trucks, and pedestrian preference, hence in the next 15 days and once installed the bollards, the signaling already foresees the closing of the square and its pedestrianization every weekend, from Friday to 14: 30 until Monday at 07: 30 hours.
