The swimmers of the master category of the Dénia Swimming Club traveled last Sunday to Elche. In the pool of 50m of the pavilion Hope Lag, the dianenses participated in the last control before the regional championship of the 1 and 2 of June to be held in Sedaví.
They arrived tired, since in the last eight weeks the training sessions were intense and loaded. Even so, everyone got good results, which encourages them for their appointment facing Sedaví.
The day began with the relay, a free male 4x100 in which swimmers Gabi Sanfelix, Pau Escutia, Francesc Miralles and Carlos Marfil got the first position with a time of 4´37 "60. Carlos Gimenez, María Bisquert, Gabi Sanfelix and Monica Berenguer swam the mixed free 4x100 in 5´03 "48, time that placed them in first position.
The individual tests began with Gabi Sanfelix, who swam the 50m breaststroke in 45 "74 being in third position. The free 50m swam them in 29" 54, being also third in this test. Francesc Miralles swam the 50m breaststroke in 39 "95, was in second position. In the free 50m he came first with a time of 28" 90.
María Bisquert, who swam the 50m breaststroke in 44 "04 was in second position. In the free 200m she was first with a time of 2´49" 49. Carlos Gimenez swam the free 200m in 2´59 "20. In the back 100m he got a second place in 1´34" 16.
Carlos Marfil was first in the 100m back, with a time of 1´21 "65. In the free 200m he was third with a time of 2´41" 63. Pau Escutia swam the butterfly 100m being in first position with a time of 1´23 "13.
Arturo Ruiz was in first position in the free 200m, swimming in 2´53 "62. His second test was the free 800m in 12´57" 28, being in second position. Mónica Berenguer swam the 100m back in 1´35 "93, being in first position and the free 800m in 12´58" 20, being also in first position.
The next day they returned to training to continue preparing the regional tests to be held in 10 days.
