History Marina Alta it has many protagonists, each of them occupying a more or less visible place at some point. In the second half of the XNUMXth century, the ties of kinship and friendship between the elites, who pulled the strings of political power, the Administration and Justice, gained special importance in the day-to-day reality.
Those relations compared with the current world are the protagonists Conflicte d'interessos: Bandolerisme i vendetta at the Marina Alta in temps de cacics (1844-1875), the book with which Manel Arcos ends his saga on banditry.
Dedicated to Professor Manuel Ardit, he exposes the conclusions about banditry and caciquismo in the middle of the 19th century. The author presented it last Thursday in the Reading Agency Baix la Mar, in an act for which he had the music of singer-songwriter Rubén Suárez and his partner Tina, who wrote poems by Maria Dolors Pellicer; and also with the presence of the Councilor for Culture of the City of Dénia, Rafa Carrió.
