Baleària Port hosted the celebration of the 20º anniversary of the declaration of Ibiza as a World Heritage Site

Baleària Port, the maritime station of Denia, has become during the weekend in the scenario of presentation of the cultural, gastronomic and tourist offer of the city of Eivissa, which celebrates 20 years of its declaration as World Heritage. The same ones that you have met Baleària, which started its activity in 1998, and since then links the city of Dénia with Eivissa and Palma by sea.

During two days the attendees were able to discover the aspects that give the city of Eivissa its own entity, from typical dances and handicrafts to music and gastronomy, also leaving a space for Ibiza fashion.

President of Baleària, Adolfo Utor, wanted to show the commitment of the shipping company with the territories in which it operates and underlined the close relationship that has always linked the city of Diane with the island of Eivissa and its capital: "We are very proud to be able to show in our Dénia headquarters the charms of Eivissa. Two territories that we have joined since our beginnings in 1998, shortly before the city was proclaimed world heritage. It is an honor to celebrate this double anniversary together", highlighted Adolfo Utor.

On the other hand, Marta Díaz, second vice president of the Consell Insular d'Eivissa, highlighted the presence in Dénia of the four associations dedicated to Ibizan handicraft -It's Retorn, Associação Artesanal de Portmany, Eines i Feines, and Colla de sa Bodega- as well as fashion Adlib, "so representative of the island of Eivissa". Díaz wanted to highlight the work of the Ibiza designers who, in the framework of the fair, organized a parade with a sample of their work.

The Councilor for Tourism and Commerce of Eivissa, Gloria Corral, highlighted the great success of the celebration of Fira Biodiversitat i Cultura.
