Last June 8 Friday, the ferry Pinewood of the river de Baleària, which links the ports of Dénia and Sant Antoni, in the Balearic Islands, ran aground before reaching its destination with 64 passengers on board. The shipping company has announced that it will open an internal investigation to determine the causes of the incident, in order to obtain conclusions that allow it to follow the path of continuous improvement of its services.

On Saturday at noon, the fast ferry replacement works were completed Pinewood of the river, being this moored in the port of Sant Antoni, and proceeding to the disembarkation of the 64 vehicles that remained in the hold.

To compensate for the inconvenience caused by this incident, the company has offered the affected travelers a free trip on the dates they have. In addition to the attentions provided by the crew while the passengers were on board, on Friday the transfer was facilitated to all customers to their final destination, while also keeping passengers informed with a vehicle on board until their retirement on Saturday morning.

It has also relocated customers who had to travel in the coming days with the Pinewood of the river in other 3 vessels operating between the Valencian Community and Eivissa (fast ferries Cecilia Payne y Ramon Lull, and the ferry Bahama Mama) And also, he has programmed the ferry as reinforcement Creative Ciutat Dénia, which will operate from Monday to Thursday in the port of Ibiza and on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in the port of Sant Antoni.

The ship sailed on Saturday afternoon on its own to the shipyards of Algeciras where the material damages that have affected the ship's port slip case will be repaired, works that are estimated can be completed in about 10 days.
