Help Portal de la Marina in its solidarity collection of games for schools in Morocco

November 05 from 2021 - 12: 26

The mall Portal de la Marina, owned by Lar España Real Estate Socimi and managed by Grupo Lar through Gentalia, once again sponsors the 4x4 vehicle Tronquet 21, piloted by Gaspar Tuiz and Vicente Ros. His goal again is to run the Maroc Challenge distributing solidarity.

During the month of November Portal de la Marina has organized a solidarity action in the shopping center itself. Together with Tronquet, Portal de Marina will collect donated games throughout the month so that afterwards Tronquet will be in charge of distributing them throughout the schools in Morocco. This solidarity initiative will fill the desert with illusion, as the members of the sports team say.

The collection of games on the ground floor of Portal de la Marina will be:

  • Friday 5 and Saturday 6 November
  • Friday 12 and Saturday 13 November
  • Friday 19 and Saturday 20 November

For this collection, Portal de la Marina has emphasized the need to collect games and not toys, since the main objective of this solidarity action is the interaction of Moroccan students in their classrooms and the games help children to play in a collaborative way. That is why they call all the people who can to collaborate with the donation of a game and not a toy.

According to Virginia Carrasco, director of the shopping center: "At Portal de la Marina we are delighted to be able to sponsor the Tronquet 21 sports team one more year because we share their mission of solidarity."

The questions are, do Moroccan children really need that in their schools? The Moroccan government or their parents do not provide the children with what they need for their education? Do we have any kind of responsibility in the education of children from other countries? Do other countries have a responsibility for the education of our children? This campaign, like so many others, is advertised as if it were a work of solidarity but in reality that is its function? Or is it just another showcase to stimulate a supposedly empty-content goodism and actually support a private initiative such as a simple car race ?
