Valencia moved up last Tuesday the mayor of Denia, Ana KringeAnd Councilwoman culture, Pepa Font. In the city of Valencia they met with the director general of Cultural Heritage, Marta Alonso, to introduce the Restoration Program Dénia Castle to develop between 2012 and 2015.
This programme envisages the reconstruction of the staircase of the Palau del Duc de Lerma (17th century), the rehabilitation of the Palau area, the restoration of the deteriorated western bastion, the rehabilitation of the Torre Nord crown, the enlargement of the Palau del Governador, the headquarters of the Archaeological Museum, and the restoration of the the Torre del Mig, from the XI-XIV centuries.
The general direction of cultural heritage will draw up projects and direction of works provided that the municipality intends to carry out with the help of grants from the central government and the regional administration.
With the drafting of the finished project, Dénia may, inter alia, request the inclusion of actions in 1% Cultural Ministry of Public Works.
