The Department of Citizen Security of the City of Denia has presented this week the summer campaign to be held in the city. The councilor of the area, Javier Scotto, And the Intendant Chief of the Local Police of Dénia, José Martínez Espasa, explored the details of what will be the next months in terms of citizen security in Denia.
Among the actions to be highlighted are increased controls of alcohol and drugs to drivers of vehicles, particularly since the closing hours of night clubs. In this line, the monitoring and sanction service to prevent the bottle will also be intensified, especially in the area of the north and south breakers of the port, where a large number of nightlife venues are concentrated.
Likewise, the Local Police will intensify surveillance and patrolling in the Montgó area, with the collaboration of Civil Protection, to prevent actions that may cause forest fires in the natural park, such as the lighting of barbecues or the launching of rockets or lanterns. .
Twelve new agents
Like last year, a budget and human resources effort has been made to incorporate 12 agents into the Local Police staff during the summer, specifically 1 from June to 31 in August, when Dénia triples the population .
The special operations that the Local Police will carry out during the summer are the reinforcement of the maritime surveillance service with two boats and two jet skis, covering from the Cap de Sant Antoni marine reserve to the beach of Les Deveses; ground surveillance, with two quad vehicles that will patrol Marines, to Les Deveses, and by Les Rotes, with a special presence on the Paseo de la Marineta Cassiana And at the end of Les Rotes, to ensure that the parking ban is complied with.
Identification bracelets for minors
After the success and good functioning of the identification bracelets for minors, the Department of Citizen Security will again make this service available to neighbors and tourists. These colored numbered bracelets are delivered, at no cost to the applicant, in the tourist offices of the city. In the place where they request the bracelet, the responsible of the minor must register the number that it has recorded and provide their personal data, contact numbers and place of residence or accommodation, which are available to the Local Police Headquarters To facilitate contact in case of loss of the child.
This year, the bracelets will be delivered in an envelope containing the instructions for use and an explanation of its usefulness in six languages: Spanish, Valencian, English, French, German and Norwegian.
Reinforcement of the bus line to Les Rotes
Again this year from the City Council have managed with Denibús, The company that offers the bus service to both Les Marines and Les Rotes, the intensification of the routes to Les Rotes, to avoid collapsing vehicles in the area.

The municipality has enabled this year a total of 3.113 free parking spaces in different parts of the city.
