This will be the sanctions for disobeying the new restrictions of the state of alarm

27 October 2020 - 09: 47

Since the afternoon of Sunday, October 25, after an announcement by the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, the country has been under a new state of alarm. After its decree, new more restrictive measures will share with us this new normal that is reinvented every few days. Now, this time it seems that it will be our reality for many months, as long as the government team gets enough support in Congress to extend it until May 9 as they intend.

The famous new wave of the coronavirus entails a new state of alarm so that the autonomies have legal coverage to impose different restrictions. That is, a generalized confinement is not decreed as happened in spring, but it does offer this possibility to the different autonomies to declare it in all or part of their territory, as well as limit the number of participants in meetings, among other measures.

However, the one that has attracted the most attention is the curfew which prohibits unjustified movements during the night in the whole State except the Canary Islands, in the Valencian Community from 00:00 to 06:00. But what does it mean to get around these new restrictions?

Fines for going out on the street are once again part of our reality. In the case of Dénia, they did not wait to begin sanctioning people during the first morning that they came into force in our community. These belong to the general sanctions regime, so the exact amount will depend on each community. Of course, there must be a minimum of 60 and a maximum of 600 euros for minor offenses, between 601 and 30.000 for serious and from 30.001 to 60.000 for very serious.

It is true that this has created controversy and discrepancies among the population, some of them betting on the hardening of punishments in order to stop the contagion of coronavirus, but others declaring that it is an exaggerated deprivation of freedoms. Be that as it may, this will probably be the new regulation for months, so it must be complied with to prevent the incidence of coronavirus from continuing to grow and, incidentally, avoid paying a large fine.
