Artístics, the program of Promotion of Cultural Entities promoted by the Department of Cultural Progress, was approved in 2009 with the aim of enhancing support for the artistic and cultural creation of our people.
The program integrates three main lines of action, which have come true through different projects and actions:
1. The approval of agreements with all local cultural entities, without discrimination, with the aim of promoting the local culture.
2. The integration of all the theater companies within the regular programming of the Social Center, and
3. The remodeling of the old Agrarian Chamber in a rehearsal space for music and dance, and the creation of cultural projects, training and experimentation of the different performing arts and movement.
The creation of the Artístics program responds to one of the historical demands of the collectives linked to the cultural world in the city of Dénia. In this sense, the Department of Cultural Progress is supporting the most important effort that has been made in the area so far, to make available to the different entities the resources they need to develop their activities.
With the help of the Artístics Program, the following initiatives:
-The recording of a disc by the musical entities with more tradition of Dénia, most of which until now had not had the opportunity to do a job of these characteristics. The CDs of Artístics are an instrument for the formations to promote their art and, at the same time, so that a music library can be created with the musical creations of the Dénia collectives. The groups that have recorded the CD Artístics are: Choir of the Home for Retirees and Pensioners of Dénia, the Orfeón de Dénia, the Orchestra of the Marina Alta, the Blau Gospel Choir, the Rociero Al-Andalus Choir, the Ajolí Group, the Nova Companyía de Guitarres de Dénia, the Rondalla Vent, Pols i Pua and the Rondalla Daniya.
-Promotion of cultural, musical and theatrical associations, promoting the organization of theatrical performances, concerts and cultural and entertainment activities throughout the year such as cycles The Culture goes to the Barris, Music to the Street, Agorama I Cultural Forum and the Book of the High Navy, etc.
- Creation of the Artístics 2009 Festival, within the cultural program of summer, with the I Aplec of Rondalles Ciutat de DéniaOrganized by the Rondalla Daniya and dance Festival, starring the schools and dance academies of Denia.
- Promotion of the Tenor Cortis Young Performers Contest, organized by the Tenor Cortis Conservatory of Music, which since the edition of the year 2010 is called Concurso Artístics-Tenor Cortis, and through the Artístics program a compilation CD of the winning musicians is recorded, with pieces for orchestra and soloist specially created by the Composition Department of the Óscar Esplà Conservatory of Alicante.
