Arqueo-gastronomía, dependencia and digitalización of the company center the programming of the Its University of Dénia

The University of Denia, dependent of the University of Alicante, has presented the programming of activities corresponding to the last quarter of the year. Alexandre Peretó, technical coordinator of the Headquarters, has debuted the proposals that are offered, which have been prepared in a personalized manner based on the needs detected after the various studies carried out by entities such as Creama, UNED or the university itself.

In this sense, the programming is integrated by two conference cycles, the first dedicated to gastronomy, and the second, dedicated to the assistance to the dependency, in addition, of a wide program of workshops on digital entrepreneurship for companies and cultural activities.

Cycle of conferences on archeology-gastronomy

The quarterly program will open the cycle of conferences entitled Gastronomy at Headquarters, a space dedicated to Mediterranean cuisine, where a journey through the history of food will be carried out by experts in different fields.

  • Thursday, October 26 (18: 00 hours): The green pantry: herbs edges used in gastronomy
    In charge of Fernando Martínez Flores, doctor in Botany and expert in consumption of wild herbs
  • Thursday, 30 for November (18: 00 hours): The feeding of our prehistoric ancestors
    In charge of Mauro Hernández, professor of Prehistory of the University of Alicante.
  • Thursday, 21 December (18: 00 hours): Myths of the red prawn
    Taught by Alfonso Ramos, Professor of Marine Biology at the University of Alicante.

All conferences scheduled in this cycle will be held in the Room of the Castell de Dénia.

Cycle of conferences on dependency assistance

The second of the cycles programmed by the University Headquarters will be dedicated to the assistance to the dependency, which according to the diagnosis and analysis of the socio-territorial system of Dénia, is established as one of the fundamental pillars for the socio-economic future of the and based on these conclusions, the University Headquarters of Dénia has developed a set of initiatives aimed at the professionalization and improvement in care to dependency.

  • Tuesday, November 21 (16: 00 hours): Prevention and identification of dementia
    Taught by Manuel Lillo, professor of the Department of Health Psychology
  • Tuesday, November 28 (16: 00 hours): Prevention of gender violence, the role of the dependency assistant
    In charge of Ana Maria Rosser, professor of the Department of Communication and Social Psychology and Maria Concepcion Torres, professor of the Department of Constitutional Law.
  • Wednesday, December 13 (16: 00 hours): Healthy habits for active and healthy aging
    In charge of Manuel Lillo, professor of the department of Psychology of the Health.
  • Wednesday, December 20 (16: 00 hours): Eating Disorders in Older Adults
    Taught by Professor María Isabel Sospedra, professor of the Department of Nursing.

All sessions of this cycle will take place at the University Headquarters of Denia (Av. Joan Fuster, 44).

Digitization of companies and digital entrepreneurship

With the aim of improving business opportunities in the city of Denia and the region, Dénia's headquarters will offer a business digitization program that will be composed of the following workshops:

  • Thursday, 16 for November (18: 00 hours): Analysis of projects
  • Thursday, 23 for November (18: 00 hours): Opportunities and threats in new environments
  • Wednesday, November 29 (18: 00 hours): Application of the roadmap
  • Thursday, 7 December (18: 00 hours): Management of resources in new markets
  • Thursday, 14 December (18: 00 hours): Models of prototyping, wireframes and Mockup
  • Monday, December 18 (18: 00 hours): Global technology in a digital environment
  • Friday, December 22 (18: 00 hours): Measurement and analysis of results

To participate in these workshops it is necessary to enroll through the website of the university headquarters. Each session will be priced at 24 euros and will be taught by an expert with a wide international trajectory.

Cultural activities

Regarding cultural programming, the University Headquarters of Dénia has programmed an informative activity on the role of the region of La Marina Alta during the Succession War, which will consist of an initial conference on the day November 3th at 20: 00 hours titled The evil of Almansa, war, revolution and defense which will be complemented by an excursion by the author, on 4 in November, with departure from Dénia, at 9: 00 hours, which will include a tour of the main municipalities of the region that played a prominent role during the La Marina of the Maulets.

These two actions will be directed by Alfons Llorenç, philologist and journalist. Finally, the Headquarters closes this cultural space for the year 2017 with the International Guitar Competition interpreted by the French composer and interpreter, Antonie Morinie, the day December 15 to the 20: 30, in the Social Center of Dénia.

The presentation of the activities of the first quarter of the course was attended by the councilors of education, Rafa Carrió; and employment and occupation, Eva Round, who coincided in praising the important formative commitment of the headquarters and encouraged Dianans and people of the region to participate in the activities.
