The company Aqualia has detected theft of water meters in some residential areas of Dénia, specifically in Suertes del Mar and La Pedrera. After the review carried out by its operators, it was found that the thefts took place in areas of single-family homes with meters in external batteries and without a padlock and has already filed the corresponding complaints.
Aqualia has alerted the residents of the affected areas, for whom it makes free padlocks available to protect the meters. Those interested can pick them up at the Customer Service offices of Abú-Zeyan Street. In addition, the stolen counters will be replaced free of charge, presenting a copy of the report for theft.
The local and national security forces have been alerted and everything points to the fact that they are not isolated events but come from some type of gang that acts in the area.
