The Ministry of Finance has announced the approval of the rehabilitation project of the old fish market Dénia to transform it into the new Office of Tourism. This project, budgeted at 991.403 euros, payable by the Trust Plan.
With this budget allocation, there are already six projects that the Generalitat has decided to subsidize in Dénia. Among the actions that have been accepted is the resurfacing of the streets of the municipality, the burying of waste collection points in Jesús Pobre, the redevelopment of Sandunga street and two projects related to the castle Denia.
I do not know how the new building will be for the Tourism Office in the former Lonja, but in my opinion, if it were demolished, the area would gain much in terms of visibility of the port area from the Cervantes esplanade, especially if, as it seems, It intends to make a connection at both ends of the port promenade and leave a pedestrian area enabled, with adequate pavement, urban furniture, planting of plant species such as palms, etc. (and removing, I hope, the area of car parks).
