Since the beginning of this season, the ambitious detection and technification program of the Basketball Federation of the Valencian Community has been developing along the line of recent years. His approach in the Alevín age covers three levels of work and Denia is present in each and every one of them.
For the first-year Alevín players, that is, the generation of 2004, the Ondara headquarters is one of the ten that the Valencian Community Basketball Federation has established throughout our Community. It continues to be the access door for the Federal control of talented players in the Marina Alta and La Safor.
In this area a total of 12 members of our school work: Cristina Lumbreras, Vania Marmolejo, Laia Molina, Aitana Palacios, Luciana Rodriguez, Elena Sanz, Alejandro Arcones, Víctor Berenguer, Esteban Denia, Alejandro Montes, Mark Ordines and Carles Sifre.
For players Alevín second year, that is, those belonging to the generation of 2003 work is divided into two distinct areas.
On the one hand the Federation has selected a group of girls and one of boys who considered ready to join the Regional Selection represent us this upcoming Easter in the Championship of Spain by Autonomous Regions.
In this group, Pablo Chassot, a player who started in Pedreguer and who plays for the second year for the Municipal School of Basketball of Denia, who is summoned every fifteen days to the point of the Valencian Community that is designated for training that are programmed with great sacrifice of their parents.
At the end of the road the prize could be entering ultimately form part of the team this year to represent us in this important National Tournament.
Moreover, the Federation maintains a second working group which brings together prominent players but also believes that currently do not see their full potential developed to enter the selection but who want to keep watching.
At this level we have six players who train with a frequency fortnight in Alicante: Robert Palomo, Ivan Alexandrov, David Serra, Audrey Neufcour, Lucia and Sandra González Mañas.
All of them are to be congratulated for their efforts and wish them a good learning thanks to these experiences that make them better players for the future.
