The students of the specialty of the professional area of tourism resume their practices after the obligatory break caused by the COVID-19.
Once the new normality has recovered and before the start of the summer campaign and the consequent activation of the high season for the tourist offices due to the start of the summer holidays, in which the visit of numerous tourists to our area is expected, the workshop students after being provided with the individual protection equipment necessary to be able to provide the service with the greatest security for them and for the people who visit the tourist info, they have started the practices again with more enthusiasm and desire if possible with that they started at the beginning of the workshop.
This practice will allow them to develop the theoretical knowledge acquired during these months, in a real work environment, which will help them become familiar with the real performance of this profession.
These practices are possible thanks to the collaboration of the municipalities that belong to the Consortium (Benissa, Calp, Dénia, Gata de Gorgos, Pedreguer, Pego, Teulada - Moraira and Xàbia) and staff and
heads of the own offices that from the first moment have provided all possible facilities for the organization of such practices.
It is pending the resumption of the practices of the specialty of the health area, since due to the vulnerability of the users of the centers where they are carried out, nursing homes and specialized centers, it has been considered convenient to delay them for the sake of their safety. .
This regional employment workshop, which is subsidized by Labora, offers a unique training opportunity allowing the corresponding certificate of professionalism to be obtained, which enables them to work in the specialties taught, combining the learning of a trade with paid work for the participating students.
