The jury of the fifth edition of the dramatic writing contest 'Curt de Teatre', organized by the City of Dénia in collaboration with the Teamorfosis Association, has highly assessed the high participation and originality of the texts presented in this edition. In this edition a total of original 45, 26 written in Spanish and 19 in Valencian have been presented.
In the School category, for participants under 18 years, students from Dénia, Benissa, Xàbia and Teulada. A total of 37 works have been presented, 18 written in Spanish and 19 in Spanish. The winning work in the Castilian language modality has been The whisper of the sea, by Hugo Fernández, from Jávea, the work being finalist My jail has been you, by Óscar Sendra Aliaga, student of the Teulada IES. In Valencian language, the prize has gone to Ivan, a creation of María Llobell Llobell, student of the IES of Teulada. Natalia Ripoll Ortolà, of the IES Historian Chabás de Dénia, has been a finalist with the work Pèrdues.
In the Adults category, 8 works have been presented, among which the jury has selected as winner, in the modality of Castilian language, El golpe, by Eduardo Gil Gallego, neighbor of Dénia. The work has been finalist in Castilian language No lights left, by Marc Galiana Fornés. This same author has been the winner of the Valencian language modality with L'amor de Romeu.
Jury and representation of the works
The jury of this fifth edition of the contest has been formed by Arturo Ruiz, journalist; Jovi Lozano, writer and manager of MACMA; Esperanza Salvatierra, retired professor; Fina Doménech, Secondary Education Language Teacher and Juli Martínez, professor at the IES Historian Chabás. Juan Luis López, of the Teamorfosis Association, has been the secretary, with presence but without vote.
The winning works will be presented at the Dénia Social Center at the 30 in March, at 20 hours.
