Alexander Pena heads the absolute autonomic final of the Comunitat Valenciana de Ajedrez

The building of Llunatics, in Dénia, hosts the absolute autonomic final of the Comunitat Valenciana de Ajedrez, in a competition divided into two tournaments; one open and one closed, the latter being a final in which the current Absolute Autonomous Champion, the Open Autonomous Champion, the three best players by ELO rating and the three provincial champions of Alicante, Castellón and Valencia after a provincial championship are decided qualifier in which about five hundred players participate among the three provinces.

After having played the first four rounds on the first day, the leader of the provisional open tournament of the classification is Alexander Pena, CA Torrefiel. The second position is for Vladimir Chernichov, of the EVA Manises, and the third place is for Viviana Galván, of the Gambito Benimaclet.

In the Absolute Championship, the emotion is total as Pablo Cruz and José Vicente Pallardó lead the classification with 3 points, followed closely by Jaime Valmaña, Sergi Mingarro and Víctor García.

Of the 8 players who are playing the closed 2 of them are International Masters and other 3 FIDE Masters. The tournament has an award in 1350 €. All registered players are participating in the open tournament within the established time and period that have a valid license in the Valencian Community.

The competition has a prize money of 930 €. In this tournament 42 players are participating from all places of the Region of Valencia such as Valencia, Alfas del Pi, Xeraco, Castellón, Quart, Mislata, Oliva, Alicante, Gandía and Alaquàs.

It began to play on 4 day and had continuity a day later, now comes the final stretch of the same as Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 will play the rounds that will determine the champion.
