Now it's up to the gastronomy of Dénia to shine in Madrid

Once the FITUR International Tourism Fair has ended, today the Madrid Fusión global gastronomy congress begins in Madrid, in which Dénia participates in the space of the Saborea España gastronomic tourism platform to which it belongs.

Mayor and Councilor for Tourism, Vicent Grimalt, Dénia Tourism staff, a representation of the Association of Hospitality and Tourism Entrepreneurs of the Marina Alta (AEHTMA) and restaurateurs and businessmen from the sector attend this international summit that is held from January 23 to 25.

During the three days of Madrid Fusión Dénia will offer from its stand tastings of cocas de la Marina and rice dishes, typical sweets of the area, Jesús Pobre raisins, wine and Carnot liqueur, thanks to the collaboration of the Les Freses winery, Carnot Liqueur, Coques Cidoncha and Els Paellers.

XI International Contest of Creative Cooking of the red shrimp of Dénia

Today at noon, on the multipurpose stage, the presentation of the XI International Creative Cooking Contest of the Dénia red shrimp is scheduled, which will be held at the Mercat Muncipal on February 28, with the participation of Vicent Grimalt, representatives of AEHTMA and the director of the contest, Rafa Soler.

In the "Tapas Classroom" of the event, the cook of the restaurant La Xerna del Mar, Belén Escrivà, together with her assistant, Alfonso Cabrera, will give experiential tapas workshops. Today she will make a marinade of tuna from the Dénia fish market with citrus mayonnaise and pickles from the Marina. The chef will also be in charge of creating the tapas that will be tasted at the Dénia stand during institutional visits.
