Agustí Pascual Cabo, Ciutat de Dénia Award for adult education

The professor and researcher Agustí Pascual Cabo has been the winner of the XIX Ciutat de Dénia Prize for the training of adults that each year delivers the culture department of the City Council.

In the words of the minutes of the award, the teacher recognized "for its contribution to the establishment of cooperation between society and public entities, strengthening relations with the creation of networks in the field of lifelong education and popular culture from a responsible option and from an educational and ethical dimension, as well as to his commitment, singular and common, towards education throughout life ".

Agustí Pascual has developed his teaching career, mainly in the field of education and training for adults, trying at all times to strengthen research and educational cooperation of young people and adults participating in lifelong learning processes . Currently he works as a teacher in the Specific Center for Distance Education (CEED), a division of adult education.

Part of the team of the magazine Quaderns of Continuing Education and he has conducted various research actions that have raised many specific publications in magazines such as Qurriculum, Dialogues o Journal of Education and is the author of several books, among which Towards a sociology curriculum in Adult Education.

The jury was formed by Antonia Campos, president of the Association of Adult Participants (APAP), Maria Francisca Borox Lopez, president of Workshop Renewal of Adult Education (TAREPA-PV), Marian Tamarit, councilor of Linguistic Normalization City of Dénia, Rafa Carrió, Councilor for Culture and Education of the City of Denia and Vicent Mas, director of the Center for Adult Education (FPA) of Dénia.

10 next June, at 20 pm in the Plenary Hall of the City of Dénia, the award ceremony will be held.
