AEMET increases the alert to orange in Dénia due to the cold drop episode in the coming days

May 23 from 2023 - 08: 28

What happened on Monday was just a preview of what was to come. The cold drop reaches Dénia, where large accumulations of water are expected during these days in the most prominent episode of rain in the last six months.

The State Meteorological Agency has had to raise the alert to orange level during Tuesday and Wednesday, for now, due to the prediction of large accumulations. This is due to the upcoming DANA reaching the city. The hours of greatest instability will be concentrated between Tuesday and Wednesday morning, expecting accumulations in Dénia of up to 40mm per hour. Accompanied by the water, in addition, by an electrical storm.

The Climatological Laboratory of the Universitat d'Alacant has warned of the possible risks of this DANA in our area, which could cause possible local flooding and sudden flooding of ravines and boulevards. "We have a few hours of considerable instability ahead of us," they point out.

Great, the University of Alicante foresees accumulation of water in the streets when it rains! Better that we have experts so ready, I feel more protected. Another thing, do they pay you for that?

Poor tourists who believe that in Spain there is a continuous August. Well nothing swimsuit flip flops and the beach.

    • Kris says:

Na ha, der August (Ende August) ist gerade der Regenreiche. Am besten ist der Juli.

Why can't they even use the translator? Nor the A1 Level that Germany requires of all foreigners.

      • Jopelin says:

Mrs. Kris. You read in Spanish. Use the translator if you want us to read to you. You, and above all, and much more, the English, are very demanding with us if we go to their countries
