Enrollment is now open for the Creama "Ship support in port" course

The only basic qualification training program in Dénia starts Auxiliary and ship support activities in port subsidized by the Department of Education throughout the Valencian region. Thanks to the work and intermediation of the Punt Náutic de Creama program, an experimental program subsidized by Labora, it has been possible to promote the implementation of this new training option for young people between 16-21 years who have not completed ESO studies .

The involvement, participation and collaboration of the different territorial agents has been essential to guarantee the success of this innovative training action, generated in response to a demand from the services sector and already detected in the Territorial Diagnosis prepared by CREAMA in 2017.

There are still free places, so people interested in training and working in the maritime-fishing-nautical field, can go to the offices of Creama Dénia (Nou d'Octubre street) to inform and / or enroll.

The objectives of this training program are to open the possibility for young people to learn about this training option in an area so related to our city and provide them with the opportunity to do internships in companies in the sector.

This training action has a duration of 960 teaching hours distributed between September of this year and June of 2020. Classes are held from Monday to Friday, from 8.30 to 14 hours.

Enrollees will receive specific training related to the maritime-fishing-nautical sector, which will mean 80% of the teaching time. It will consist of theoretical and practical classes, which will be taught in the dependencies of the Pòsit de Dénia and the Real Club Nautico Denia, in which they will deal with contents such as repair and maintenance of the ship in port; mooring, unmooring and ship-to-port maneuvers; safety and first aid on board or maritime emergencies, as well as basic notions of English, the language standardized by the International Maritime Organization.

The rest of the course contents, an 20%, are cross-sectional modules that are studied in any basic qualification training program: linguistic-social, scientific-mathematical, linguistic, training and career guidance and quality and gender equality.
