The First Chinese Martial Arts Competition of the Youth Council and Mayor was held at the Multipurpose Hall of Llunàtics. Near 150 people attended this competition organized by the Department and Wushu Club of Tai Chi and Denia.

Participated fifty athletes from Castellón, Algemesí, Teulada-Moraira, Ondara, Pedreguer and Denia in the three categories set out in the contest: Llunàtics (up to 30 years), Dinamics (31 to 65 years) and Classrooms of experience (more than 65 years).

The event began with an exhibition Wushu Wushu Club of Denia, to continue with the individual competitions of the category Llunàtics in female form in empty hand, in empty hand male, female and male weapon gun.

This same structure was followed later in the Dinamics category, preceded by an exhibition of Tai Chi Club of Denia.

While the jury conducted its deliberations, he held an exhibition of Chi Kung prior to the last competition of the morning, the Classroom of Experience. This was collective in the form of empty hand.

The Youth Council and Mayor gave a commemorative diplomas of the first contest to Rafael Julián Palanques, Carlos Sabater, judge, and the promoters of the initiative, Mª José Quintero, Pepe Arlandis i Miguel Signes.
