Aitor Cabezas was the winner of the I Carrera Three Kings Cake Denia

A total of 227 athletes participated in the First Three Kings Cake Race held in Marina de Denia. Aitor athlete Cabezas, Calpe, with a time of 16 49 minutes seconds became champion. Second Francis Rodriguez, Crevillente, arrived with a time of 17 3 minutes and seconds and, thirdly, Carlos Fajardo, Crevillente, with 17 10 minutes and seconds.

In women, the first place winner was André Fernández, Denia, with a time of 20 50 minutes and seconds. The second, Laura Alabau, Valencia, with a record of 21 36 minutes and seconds and the third, Ana María Melenchón, Ondara, with a time of 23 3 minutes and seconds.

In the category of oldest runner was Ismael Ferreras, the youngest, Alba Gamero and club participation was more Dianium Athletics Club of Denia, with 21 members.

The race, organized by the Club Rem Dénia, + 3 Events and Marina de Dénia, exceeded expectations, since in addition to the 227 runners, around 80 people participated walking”. In this sense, from the organization, they are already thinking about the second edition of the race that will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 and thus consolidate it as the first annual race of the Marina Alta.

The route, 5.000 meters, ran through the Marina de Denia and the Marineta Beach Casiana. The winners were rewarded with a roulade of kings and all participants received a bottle of wine from the cellar of Teulada.
