400 athletes participate in the Local Basketball League

Last Saturday 16 day of December, the Joan Fuster pavilion He was preparing to live a special afternoon of basketball. The match played between the senior men of the regional category and the second team of Benidorm was going to be the center of attention for the visit of all the participating teams in the Local League.

Little by little, they were filling the area around the track with the players of the local competition, while the relatives took their seats in the stands. All of them could witness a good match that ultimately fell on the visitors side.

To give more color and joy to the afternoon, the students of the Cuqui Ivars Dance Academy delighted the audience with dance exhibitions during the party breaks.

In the middle of the contest a small snack was served to the components of the different schools that had come, replenishing forces to prepare for the act of presentation that would take place after the end of the meeting.

All the schools were present with a representation of the participating teams in the different categories of the Local League: Pou de la Muntanya, Montgó, Llebeig, Cervantes, Les Vessanes, Alfa & Omega, Paidos, Marist and Carmelitas. All that was missing was the representation of the team alevín de Jesús Pobre.

Prebenjamín category (1º and 2º of Primary): 12 teams.
Benjamin category (3º and 4º of Primary): 14 teams in two groups of 7.
Category Alevín (5º and 6º of Primary): 8 teams.

A total of 400 registered players and players who had their representation in the parade through schools that took place under the presence of the Councilor for Sports Marian Tamarit.

This is a good example of the excellent health enjoyed by the Local League, an activity that has managed to settle in these numbers of participation in recent years and that manages to nurture the most representative teams of Dénia at the regional level, whose templates are formed , practically in its entirety, by dianenses players.
