When first anniversary of the inauguration of the Commissary of Caritas, it is time to take stock. Both the commissary and the Wardrobe Caritas have attended about families since 350 14 2010 February began to serve.
The commissary offers users low-cost commodities, and in this first year of operation registered an average consumption of 2.000 kilos of food per month. Sale of textiles in the closet has left a positive balance of 12. 201, 60 euros, a service that has also provided shoes, clothing, blanket or wedding gowns and communion on special occasions.
Caritas has also received significant donations from people with a food collection held at a mall in which 2.500 food were collected, the collaboration of students from schools in Denia who provided 200 kilos of food, or the curious collaboration of an anonymous donor who joined the cause donating 312 liters of olive oil to spread.
Throughout this first year of life, the commissary and the Wardrobe have had the invaluable help of volunteers who 83 Caritas is very grateful.
