The crisis that affects the country can be seen in many social areas and municipal services that, although they have been running for some time, is now when they most accuse the personal problems of citizens. This is the case of the Municipal Housing Service, which in the first half of 2013 has served 245 users in its Mortgage Debtor Service Unit.
Councilwoman urban planning and management, Pepa Font, Together with the technical department, Miquel Castellà, he reeled off the balance yesterday left the first six months of service.
The most important area that currently generates more work in the service is the Mortgage Debtor Service Unit, which serves and advises people at risk of eviction due to mortgage debts. Of the 245 people who came for advice, the majority went to the service to ask questions about issues related to the payment of mortgage payments. There have also been 46 queries and complaints related to the "land clauses" and, to a lesser extent, inquiries have been taken about buying and selling, financing, taxation and taxes on housing.
Unit has opened in this period 39 records, which 8 have been closed: three of them have managed to reach an agreement to refinance mortgage debt and other two the agreement involved the payment in housing.
So far this year, the Unit has processed 48 applications for inclusion of citizens and families who have lost their regular home through foreclosure in social rental programs both Dénia City Council and other administrations and entities.
The second area that has received more applications is intended for rental housing stock, which 163 registered users, of which 41 have already rented a house through the service.
The Municipal Housing Service also provides file processing municipal aid for the rehabilitation of facades and roofs of buildings and houses in the old town and one-stop service on matters related to public programs for access to housing non-municipal level.
