El Minister of Justice and Social WelfareJorge Cabré, met Wednesday morning with the mayor of Denia, Ana Kringe, with the theme of the social and health area of La Pedrera on the table.
The project, which was finalized in March, is in the hands of technicians from the Consellería and the City Council, who are already shaping the execution project. Cabré announced that the construction of the socio-health area is a priority and that the objective is that it can begin to be built next year.
The socio area of La Pedrera is a Specific Center for Mental Illness and a residence and day center for the mentally handicapped, with a total of 140 care spaces to be built on a plot of 10.000 square meters next to the old Hospital of La Pedrera that City council gave to the Department in 2009. The project has an estimated budget 8 million.
